What is NXT®?
history

 NXT® was born in the USA in the early 1990’s when the U.S. Government contracted Simula Technologies to develop a new bullet-proof, transparent, and light-weight material capable of providing superior protection, reliability and longer lasting performance than polycarbonate.

In 1996 Simula Technologies formed a strategic alliance with INTERCAST to further develop the technology of NXT® and optimize the material for optical uses (sun and sport lenses, ski goggles and helmet visors), for which INTERCAST has the worldwide exclusive license.
